What makes this tank different from all the other solar storage tanks?
The High Sierra Drainback Tank is made with a steel frame for strength and a polypropylene liner to eliminate harmful rust and corrosion. At the initial purchase of this tank, you will find that it does cost more than other tanks, but over the years of use, you will find it saves you more money with the efficiency and warranty that the High Sierra Drainback Tanks provide.
How do we get the higher efficiency?
Higher efficiency is achieved through a unique passive Thermosyphon;(tranfers solar heat from storage tank directly to water heater), constantly balancing and circulating solar heated water within the water heater, when and where it is most needed. With extra efficiency you can expect annual savings up to 80% on water heating.
